CORPORATE RESPONSIBILITY
As a global leader in supply chain and energy management, we use our combined knowledge and expertise as well as targeted funding to contribute to sustainable supply chains in the energy, transportation and metals sectors.
Innovation and new technologies
Cargill ETM is committed to respecting natural diversity and minimizing its environmental impact throughout its global operations; as a responsible supply chain management expert and trader of resources in the Energy, Transport and Metals fields, we strive to reduce our environmental footprint wherever we are active.
Forum For the Future and Sustainable Shipping Initiative
Together with a wide group of key actors of the international shipping industry, Cargill ETM supports the Sustainable Shipping Initiative, a project led by the British NGO Forum For the Future, working in partnership with WWF (World Wide Fund for Nature). Forum for the Future is a non-profit organization working globally with business and government to create a sustainable future.
The aim of this initiative is to transform the global shipping industry as well as the wider maritime sector by establishing a new, sustainable approach as the norm.
The project has completed its first stage – establish a shared vision – by exploring the social, environmental and economic challenges faced by the industry and how to best react to them.
Cargill is active in two of the four work streams focused on finding new ways to finance environmental innovation in shipping as well as creating a “standard of standards.”
